Arts and Crafts with Logan

Logan recently bought a keypad for his Xbox controller to make sending messages through Xbox Live easier. The only problem is that the controller is black and the keypad is white. We had to go to Robert's and then to Michael's to find a flat black paint pen (Because Robert's is stupid, according to Logan). Finally we found an appropriate pen and Logan came home and went straight to crafting!

Door Saga

The other day we came home from grocery shopping and the front door was wide open, needless to say I was really freaked out, but it turned out that there was just something causing the door not to shut and no one had robbed us. Logan thought that there was something wrong with the bottom of the door so we took it off (it was raining outside, by the way) and fixed it...and it still wouldn't close. Any way, after more looking we discovered that there was something wrong in the door jam where the knob latches in. Ha-Ha! We did it for no reason!

Sprinkles and Big Tuna

On January 22, 2009 we doubled our family's size. Be purchased Sprinkles, who is small and white with an orange spot on her tail and on her head and also Big Tuna, who is small and orange. As all of you Office fans know, Sprinkles was named in memory of Angela's deceased cat, that Dwight mercy killed by drugging it and putting it in the freezer. Big Tuna was named after Andy's nickname for Jim.

A Question of Manners

When one is invited to dinner party, and one does not like the menu, is one allowed to request a change of the menu? Multiple times even? Or is it the role of the host/hostess to determine the menu and the guests just have to deal with it? Please leave comments about what your opinion is.

10 Things I like about XBOX LIVE/ Halo 3

  1. The Funny Gamer Tags I see, like "PowerfulPooPoo".
  2. The fact that Cortana doesn't nag me.
  3. when I finally get an achievement I've been working on.
  4. It's a good excuse to use my new TV and surround sound system.
  5. I can spend quality time with my nephew with out driving to Bloomington. I could also spend time with my brother if he would upgrade to Gold again.
  6. The satisfaction that comes with getting a killjoy.
  7. The Halo Announcers voice.
  8. It gives my wife something to blog and face book about.
  9. It keeps me humble.
  10. When I actually get a kill on Alek.
Here a picture of me getting Alek with a sword I call it "Sparrow Down"

10 Things I Hate about Xbox Live/Halo 3

  1. This morning when I woke up, I not only said good morning to Logan, but also to Alek, who was in Logan's head.
  2. I can never tell whether Logan is talking to me, or to Alek.
  3. I feel like I married Master Cheif and Cortana as well as Logan a year and a half ago.
  4. When I see the final sequence of Halo 3, I find myself feeling really bad for the Cheif, not only because he is lost in space indefinately, but because he "unplugged" Cortana before he went to sleep.
  5. Logan has actually stated, "The thing that makes me the happiest is getting a kill joy."
  6. I actually know what kill joy means.
  7. The Halo 3 music actually puts me to sleep. (I guess this is something good)
  8. I wonder what is wrong when I pull into the parking lot after work and I dont see bright flashes coming from our windows and hear gunfire.
  9. That I actually helped Logan do the research for his screen name. (Which is really cool, by the way)
  10. And the last thing that I hate Xbox Live/Halo 3 is that it is completely taking over my home!

D.I. Finds

Libby told me to start posting my D.I. finds so here is one.

I purchased these cute Valentine's Day blocks on 6-28-08 (I know because it still had the tag on it when I got it out this morning) for $1. They were still in the package and I think that they were a marvelous find. I don't go to D.I. very much anymore, but I love it when I do. I don't always find something good, but when I do it makes all the looking worth while.

Entertainment Center: Phase 2

As many of you know, Logan built us an entertainment center a while back (if you don't remember seeing, it look here). There is now a "Phase 2" of said Entertainment Center. Here are some pictures. It's not decorated yet, but hey, give me time...

I know, I know, painting in the house is a bad idea...
Sorry Logan's butt is in the way, but I think you get the idea. Also, ignore the weights on top, the board was a little warped so the weights were fixing it.

Christmas!!

This is what it looked like when we woke up at seven. Notice the Stockings have been filled...

Logan had to divide the gifts into piles. Left is mine, center is ours, and right is Logans. Apparently the Blu-Ray belongs to me.
The glorious Christmas Mess.

This is the Loot.
Overall, we came out pretty well. Power tools, a Blu-Ray player. TONS of DVDs and Blu-Rays. Clothes, toys, and some other fun stuff. Hope your Christmas was as wonderful as ours!

SNOW DAY!!

This little boy who was playing in the streets confirmed it for me. It is indeed a snow day in Washington County. I assume he knows what he is talking about... I think this is so fun! I never expected to see snow actually stick here. This is amazing! (Isn't it? I'm not a native so I don't know.) I like it though.

Does this look like St. George to you?

White Christmas, huh? Well, here it is...

This is what we awoke to this morning. I'm pretty excited, Logan is not so much. Last night Kim texted me and said "Snow?" Well Kimtastic, here is your reply.

Pine Valley

We went to Pine Valley yesterday to go tubing. We didnt end up tubing since we didnt have the cap to our tube with us:) Pine Valley is beautiful. If anyone doesnt know what to get me for Christmas, a cabin up there would be just fine!
