The Blake Men (and a Blake baby)
I was just looking through my pictures and thought I would pay a little tribute to the Blake men. They are lots of fun, very sweet and absolutely agonizing to live with (or so I have heard, mine isn't too bad!) but they are well worth the trouble!

The Memory Keeper's Daughter

I was immediately excited because this was made into a Lifetime movie that I never got to see becuase we moved here and lost our beloved cable about two days before the premiere. Very good book. Highly recommended.

New Computer
We got a new computer! Sydney said she hasn't seen me this happy sinse I got my XBOX 360 but what ever. We used our Stimulus check and some money that SUU gave me for my senior project. I was going to get it online from dell, but everytime I would build what I wanted it was tons so I went to best buy to see what they had. I found this one. It was cheaper than what I would have built and it is better. it has a better processor and more hard drive space than I was going to get so I like it. It doesn't have some of the things I wanted but I'll get them later when I need them like a better graphics card so I can put an other monitor on it (Sydney said one 22" is over kill but I beg to differ), another ROM drive and maybe Firewire or more USB ports, all of which were cheaper at Best Buy than on dell. I also was able to get the 2007 office professional suite and put it on there so that is good.
I know some of you will say, "Why did he put that expensive computer on that crappy desk?" well that's next on my list along with a new matress. - Logan

Fireworks at Josh and Melanie's
Just wanted to say Thank You to Josh, Melanie and Tanner for inviting us to come watch fireworks at their house last night. Josh and Tanner put on quite a show, and we ate some super yummy ice cream cake! Thanks guys, we had a blast!

Sparklers
I know this; I am probably the only person over the age of five who is obsessed with sparklers, but I love them. They are my favorite part of July 4th except for the giant fireworks in the sky.

4th of July BBQ
Yesterday we went to Cash's house (AKA the gathering place) to celebrate Independence Day with Logan's family. We only got this picture of the BBQ but I'm sure there are others out there which are better. Then we (Heff, Tanner, Lucas, Logan and I) went rabbit hunting. At first Logan was driving and shooting and I was spotting the rabbits but that just didnt work out so I had to drive. Big step for me...I have been deathly afraid of four-wheelers since my accident.

Which Disney Princess are you?
Strong and spirited. You're no one's girly girl; actually you are very determined person with a strong sense of self. Never let go of that! The only thing that equals your sense of self is your family, but the traditions of society can always be bent to protect something or someone you love.

Need For Speed
So Logan has a new love in his life. Need For Speed ProStreet. He has been playing it non-stop since he got it. I don’t really mind since he still talks while playing (unlike with Halo, SplinterCell, Etc.) but I hate having the couch two feet from the TV! But it has to stay this way till he's done, because apparently his butt can’t take long hours of playing time on a metal folding chair!

Cortana and Riffle
So we had fish food from Pickle so I talked Logan into some fish. I originally wanted goldfish, but apparently they don't take heat well and die on the way to the stores so you cant find them anywhere in St. George. Anyway, we decided on some Molly's. Logan says they are my fish, but he picked out what kind to get and he picked his out.
He also named them. The big orange one is Logan's fish. It's name is Riffle. That name really fits because a riffle is a rapid that is not up to much, and I don't think this fish is all there.
If you are wondering about our curious fishtank I will explain. I bought it at DI. Fish bowls at PetCo are like $15 and I got this one (rocks and treasure chest included) for $1.50. Sweet! The only downside is it's a cookie jar (notice the slanted side) and I'm pretty sure the treasure chest is not for fish tanks because it floats.
I am also making a plea. I am in search of a fish tank like the one I had growing up. It looked like a bubble gum machine and the fishes lived in the candy part. I have looked on the internet and the only one I can find is in a local classifieds in Halifax Canada. If you see one for sale anywhere, call me PLEASE!!!

Logan Thoughts: Country Song Gone Good?
So today as I sat eating the wonderful fresh veggies dad gave us (Thanks Dad), I thought to myself I've never tried to see if there was a wireless internet connection that we could get on. Well as it turns out there is, albeit it's not the best, but here I am blogging again. Aren't you all excited?
In the past, and still in the present, there have been many songs that were first country and then a pop version came out or first pop and then a country version was made. Some examples are: I Will Always Love You by Dolly Parton, then Whittney Houston, I Swear by All 4 One, then John Micheal Montgomery. For the most part the country versions have been quite lame, if you ask me, well at least not a good as the pop, because some were bad either way. One present day song that comes to mind is the Lips of an Angel song by Hinder. Jack Ingram sings a version and it's just plain terrible. Let's not forget good old Reba forcing Kelly to sing a horrible duet with her of the Because of You song (Kelly's wasn't that great either but it was better than Reba). Lately though I stand corrected. There is this song sung on the pop stations called No Air. It is sung by some little know American Idol winner named Jordin Sparks and a popular young Hip Hop singer named Chris Brown. Any of you that hear song would most surely be sick of it by now and would agree that it's not that great. Sydney rants and raves that it shouldn't be a duet because it doesn't make sense for both of them to be sad that the other broke up with them. I agree, who made who sad to begin with? Well, on KONY they've played a country version of this song. It's not a duet and it's shockingly better. Come to find out it sung by a young African American singer Rissi Palmer, which I thought was strange because the voice doesn't fit.
Anyway I mostly wanted to tell you with all this that sometimes the country version is better, but it's such a rarity that it warrants its own post.
