So Kim's story about the lizards inspired me to tell my story involving reptiles. As some of you may know I have been "raising" a tadpole named Pickle (he lived in a pickle jar, and I'm sorry Joren, I know this was your name too). I caught him on one of our walks down to the Virgin River. It was really cool to watch him grow legs, "arms", and (well I actually didnt see him actually turn into a froggy cuz we were rafting). HE WAS ADORABLE!!
So I started researching to see what kind he was. After finding the species that are found in the Virgin and looking I decided he was probably a pacific tree frog, because he was getting pretty green. He was about the size of a dime (legs and everything!). Well I got feeling guilty about keeping him and we went to set him free, but he just sat there on my hand looking like "You're joking, right?" and so I kept him. So two days later I decided I had to this time. He wasnt eating the food and too small for crickets. So we set him free Saturday night. Again, he looked at me like he loved me (I've been driven crazy with lonliness I guess since i'm buds with a frog). So he got in the water, swam, and came back to us. I REALLY wanted to keep him but I think he'll do better in the wild. Plus, I am pretty sure I was right cuz we saw a bunch of little red-spotted leopard frogs ( I recognized them from my research) down there. What are the odds that the pollywog I caught was the rare one???

Desolation Canyon
If everyone is wondering if I survived the 5 day rafting trip, this is proof (both of my survival and my participation)!
It really wasn't that bad, but I doubt I'll go on another one that is that long. I am all about the 3 days or less kind of camping excursion.
The water was too cold to wash in (for me at least) and I got really too dirty. The bugs were the worst part. I also developed a pretty good rash on my arms and legs for a good portion of the trip.
This is after it warmed up enough for me to actually take a bath and I am letting my hair dry.
This is my tough, adorable, hunk of a husband rowing the raft I was on.
See, I had a good time sometimes! Mostly because I sat in the back on the "Wifey Seat" and barely got splashed!
Hey everyone, thanks for a good time. I'll go again...in a few years!

My Job
So Anisa pointed out that I haven't mentioned my job to anyone. Well, I've been working at a Dry Cleaner/Laundromat called Malibu Cleaners. It's on telegraph in Washington, but pretty much is on the border between Washington and St. George. Its only seconds (literally) from our house and its pretty easy work. Mostly cleaning the store and helping customers. My favorite things about it: Location, Location, LOCATION!! My least favorite things: Being alone all the time. Roasting to death. Marking in poopy underwear (this only happened once, but it was my second day and caused some second thoughts!) It's nice to have something to keep me occupied and makes me feel like I'm contributing. Logan's favorite part (other than the added income, of course) is that I dont get home til six at night, giving him one precious little hour of alone time!
I like it. It's not the dream, but it works!

Okay, I know I'm going to catch a lot of crap for this but...
I recently purchased Eclipse at D.I. for $8 and I read it of course. So when I got my paycheck I went ant bought Twilight, and I am reading it now. I just have to say that I completely forgot how good these books were. I am totally hooked AGAIN!!! I am so looking forward to the next one and the movie (if they keep to the storyline of the book!!). Logan is going to give me so much crap over this.

Best Cookies Ever!!
So maybe I'm the only one who had never heard of these before, but they are awesome! I found the recipe in my Monroe 3rd Ward Cook Book, and Logan said he had eaten them before. They are Rolo Cookies. Here is how you make them.
1 Devil's food cake mix
1/2 Cup Oil
2 Eggs
About 3 packages of Rolo's
You just mix that together and make one inch balls, then you flatten them out and stick a Rolo in the middle, then you roll them up into a ball again so the Rolo is in the middle and you cant see it. Then you bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
These are ooey gooey delicious treats. I sprinkled powdered sugar on top of mine so they looked nice. Yum!!!
